This year marks the 180th Oktoberfest celebration in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.  About 6 million people from around the world flock to Munich for 16 days to celebrate beer with close to 7 million liters being consumed every year. In honor of this extraordinary event we are proclaiming this week Oktoberfest at Jaynes!

Wiener Schnitzel Alert!
All week we will be featuring traditional German fare including our spectacular handmade Wiener Schnitzel with gruyere cheese spaetzel, sautéed broccolini and fresh lemon wedges.

We will also be featuring:

Smoked Bratwurst of  pork, IPA mash and paprika.  This is seriously tasty sausage and highly recommended.  It is served on a crusty roll with sauerkraut and mustard.
Bockwurst of veal and pork served with sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and mushrooms.

To help you revel in the greatness of beer we are featuring the original Schneider Weisse Hefe-weizen ale on draft, which has been perfectly brewed since 1872.  We are also featuring Erdinger Oktoberfest and Weihenstephaner Oktoberfest.    If you want stay true to German tradition ask Sarah to add a splash of Waldmeister (woodruff flavored syrup) or Himbeer (raspberry flavored syrup) to your Trumer Pilsner or Weisse beer.

If schnitzel, brats and beer aren’t enough to make you grab your stein and celebrate with us maybe Sarah and Ariel bringing you your beer dressed in Bavarian Dirndl dresses is just the motivation you need!   Oktoberfest runs at Jaynes through Saturday.
