St. Valentines Day Dinner and Jaynes 5 Year Anniversary

Jaynes is gearing up for a milestone next week, not only is it St. Valentines Day but we will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary on Tuesday February 14th.

I still can’t believe we were crazy enough to open for dinner on such a special evening with swirling butterflies in our tummies. But thanks to all the family, friends and new friends that filled the seats that night and many other nights over the years here we are still rocking, drinking, cooking and now raising baby Romy.

Our Valentines Day Menu will be your choice of three courses for $55 plus beverage, tax and gratuity.

 Starter 

-Lobster Chowder with sweet corn, potatoes and crisp salted pork

-Crostini of Fava bean puree and shaved pecorino with mixed green salad and meyer lemon vinaigrette

-Frisee salad with pancetta, croutons, poached egg and mustard/sherry vinaigrette

Entree

Washington State Scallops over saffron scented Israeli cous cous, English peas, wild arugula, an heirloom tomato coulis

Bacon wrapped Filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes, creamed corn, broccollini and blue cheese butter

Celery root and potato gratin with gruyere, creme fraiche, swiss chard and tomato

Dessert

Strawberry/Rhubarb crostada with creme fraiche gelato

Carmelized banana split with strawberry and caramel gelato with bittersweet chocolate sauce

Bittersweet chocolate souffle with vanilla bean creme anglaise

    This isn’t about Valentine’s Day. It comes because of our last visit and the appearance of Chateau Musar on the wine list. Today’s NY Times Dining section (4/4/12) has a nice article on the owner and a recent tasting. Thought you might be interested
