Why we love the wines of Brovia so much

Over the weekend, we opened this bottle of 1993 Barolo by one of our favorite producers, Brovia. It was such a great example of how a great producer — even in a challenging vintage — can make a truly memorable wine. Brovia is one of Italy’s leading “natural” winemakers. We went to visit Brovia back in March of this year with one of the top U.S. natural wine bloggers, Saignée (did you read about him in last week’s New York Times, btw?).
